​Terms and Conditions

1. All bookings must be made in writing via this website or e-mail and paid in advance and in doing so the hirer agrees to these terms. The named person on the booking is deemed the hirer for the purpose of these conditions.

2. Bookings are confirmed once full payment has been received by bank transfer or via our online booking system. If payment is not made in the specified time, then the session can be offered to another customer. 

3. The hirer must be aged 18 years and over.​​

4. All persons who access and use the Cricket Barn and its facilities do so at their own risk. Northants Cricket Barn shall not be liable for injury, damage or loss, however caused (except as required by law)

5. The hirer should not assign or sublet their permission to use the Cricket Barn and its facilities without the approval of the Facility Manager.

6. All under 18s must have adult supervision at all times.  

7. No children under 18 are permitted to operate the bowling machine.

8. All batters using the bowling machine, must be 13 years of age or older, unless accompanied by an ECB qualified coach, or play as part of the County Pathway.

9. A maximum of 5 people (4 batters and 1 machine operator) permitted per lane when using the bowling machine and 9 people including a coach, per lane when not using a bowling machine.

10. ALL batters must wear full protective clothing including, leg pads, thigh pads, box, gloves and helmet when inside the nets.

11. All shoes and equipment must be clean and dry and shoes must be for indoor use only.

12. No food, drink or kit bags inside the nets.

13. All wet items of clothing and umbrellas must be left outside or in a waterproof bag in the padding up area and not taken into the nets.

14. Padding up must be done in the area outside the net lanes and before entering the net lane.

15. Only 1 batter is permitted to face the bowling machine at one time. All other batters must wait behind the bowling machine or net at all times and be watching the ball at all times, wearing the full protective kit.

16. All spectators must stay outside of the nets and lanes.

17. No screens or safety guards can be removed at any time.

18. The hirer must familiarise themselves with the safety policy, bowling machine, settings and instructions before use.

19. The hirer must ensure that the length, speed and direction of the delivery are to the individual batters satisfaction before they face the ball.

20. Only the provided Bola bowling machine balls can be used in the machine.

21. The hirer understands there is no qualified first aider on site and that they are using the machine at entirely their own risk.

22. In the case of an accident, any damage to the nets, flooring or machines, or any other issue, please report immediately to the facility manager on 07731 399885.

23. The hirer must leave the lane at the end of their session with all the balls collected up in the bucket and ready for the next customer. The time it takes you to do this is included in your hour. Please ensure the hire runs smoothly and no one misses out on their allocated booking time by overrunning your session.

24. The bowling machine is provided at no additional cost. If it is not available due to maintenance or any other reason there will be no refund given.

25. The cricket facility and the entire farm premises, once you turn off the main road, are absolutely a NO SMOKING AREA and no alcohol area.

26. We are situated on a family working farm. Please be aware of farm traffic  and children at all times and keep to the 5mph speed limit.

27. There is no access to any footpaths from the cricket barn. Please do not wonder about the farm at any time.

28. No dogs are permitted on the farm at any time.

29. There is plenty of parking, please park considerately, in the allocated area.

30. Northants Cricket Barn reserves the right to ask any user to leave the premises if the safety policy and terms have not been adhered to. No refund for any unused session time will be given and permanent exclusion may be made.

31. We are not liable for any personal possessions brought onto the farm or into the Cricket facility.

32. CCTV is running both inside and outside of the facility at all times to ensure our terms and safety policy are adhered to at all times.

33. Please arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to your allocated session.

34. Please leave the farm quietly so as not to disturb our neighbours.

35. Ensure the door to the barn is closed at all times.

36. Cancellation: We require at least 48 hours notice prior to the booked session for all cancellations in order to have the full booking fee returned in full. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice will have a 50% deduction incurred.  Where 24 hours notice is not given, then the full charge will apply and no refund or credit issued.

37. Changes to bookings will be accommodated wherever possible. If it is not possible to do so then the above cancellation policy will apply.

38. Coaches: We have close links with several ECB qualified coaches who use the facility. You are welcome to use one of our recommended coaches or to bring your own.
